If you qualify for Legal Aid then Richard Griffiths & Co have expert knowledge of the Legal Aid Scheme, and hold Legal Aid Contracts for the provision of both publically funded criminal defence, family and child care law.
The rules governing whether you qualify for Legal Aid in both civil and criminal cases are complex and take into account a variety of factors which includes both the “Interests of Justice” test as well as a means test i.e. the financial eligibility of the client. Means testing considers the client’s financial position based on their household income as well as their existing capital and outgoings. Here at Richard Griffiths & Co we pride ourselves on being experts on Legal Aid and we can assist you in establishing whether you meet the criteria and in making your application for Legal Aid funding.
To find out whether you are likely to qualify for Legal Aid we suggest you contact us first to discuss your options.
In order to qualify for Legal Aid you must provide documentary evidence of the following to support your application:-
- Details of Benefit entitlements
- Proof of Income
- Proof of Expenditure
- Your National Insurance Number
