Paul is the resident childcare expert, with 40 years experience as a solicitor. He has been based in Salisbury for 20 years and has built up excellent working relationships with all the agencies involved with childcare.
Paul helps parents when Social Services get involved with a family. Paul always acts with the greatest discretion as he appreciates the sensitive nature of these cases and recognises the possibility of conflicts of interest.
When Paul takes on a case, he supports the family throughout the procedure, from the initial pre-proceedings letter issued by the Local Authority right up until the end, potentially in the High Court or even Court of Appeal.
Paul uses his extensive knowledge of the system to answer clients’ questions such as:
- What is going to happen now?
- Will I end up in court?
- Will I be able to keep custody of my child?
Paul takes on clients from Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire, and can often give a half hour of initial advice for free. Although cases are always dependent on a person’s specific circumstances – there is no ‘one size fits all’ – Paul uses his experience to help guide parents through what can be a very difficult time in their lives.
